So at the moment it looks like the entirety of Unite Warriors Guardian (Defensor) is a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive. And they're really trying to sell the point (based on the blurb on the page) that Groove is a brand new (unique) mold, which is not (and will not) be available outside of Japan (Groove, not the mold, as the mold might be reused as something else here).

While it should be taken with a grain of salt, it is interesting to note that for Superion and Menasor, Takara didn't make any specific statement that the Slingshot and Wildrider won't be available outside of Japan and sure enough, it's being sold in NA. Hopefully HLJ/AmiAmi/AE will be able to get a hold of this one...they didn't get any stock of the previous TTMall exclusive Bluestreak.

Has there been any indication that TRU or Amazon Canada will get Quickslinger or Brake-Neck? BBTS just announced orders will open at midnight and I wonder if I should go for it. Even Amazon.com has cheaper shipping if they decide to ship outside the US.

So far, for mass retailers, it's only been the U.S. side of the websites (e.g. Walmart.com) with no indication that they'll be made available here. So it's a crapshoot...if you want them you might have to take a chance and get it where you know it's up.

Preorders for Brake-Neck and Quickslinger are available again on Automaton. Price will be about the same but you avoid any possibility of getting hit for duty.
