I've seen these for sale at a kiosk in the airport. Inside security by the gates.

Re: Post Your Transformers Hauls - 2015 Edition

Just got today:

In all honesty, for the price, it's too expensive for what it is worth imo. It's my first Hot Toys figure. On a plus side though, it's a pretty damn impressive figure in terms of how it looks and feels. My main issue is the MP01 syndrome of hard to stand. You have to position his legs just right and when the wings are on, he's not balanced very well. I don't regret getting this, but it is more expensive than I feel it should be considering the balance issues. I guess that's what the base is for.
Prime also does come with 3 batteries for his eyes/matrix light up feature but his posability is somewhat limited. I also wish Starscreams head wires were longer so Prime could hold on to them.

they're called metal model kits by "metal earth".
in the transformers line, they only have four available so far.(optimus/megatron/soundwave/bumblebee)
once finished, prime is about the size of "THS" prime.
but to get it there....be prepared for frustration.
i'm pretty decent at doing intricate stuff but this kit takes the cake.
there's going to be tabs deep inside the legs and arms that require you to fold them from the inside of the leg....this is where patience and tiny tweezers come into play.
another tip is when it comes to the round parts like the smoke stacks on prime or the fusion cannon on megatron, roll the material/piece around drillbits like as if you were rolling a joint.this will help you not "crinkle' the material, cause once crinkled or bent wrong....it's over for that said piece....

also, for local calgarians,i've only seen these in person at discovery hut in chinook mall.they were still there(all four sets)last week....just over 20 bucks a pop.

Thanks for the tip. I will bear that in mind whenever I get around to putting it together

Felt the same when I got the first Mark 3 Iron Man figure. Granted this was before HT got way way better with their craft. Don't really have any desire to spent that kind of bank on another HT figure.

Anyways, got the Perfect Effect - Scouting Force X from terrordrone today. So many third party Reflectors to choose from, I went with a oldie but a goodie. And something I've wanted for a long time now.
