I dunno. Strong female lead, amazing cast of seiyuu, animation was strong most of the time, mecha, and scantily-clad pilots and over-abundant fanservice. What's not to like? I enjoyed it overall. Hell, even my wife enjoyed it.

I'm hoping that Bandai might make some SF Figuarts for the pilots. Or at least just Ange and Salamandinay.

Back to hauls, mine for August.

August 1st:
-Legacy Black & Gold Megazord [MISB, from local TRU]

Wasn't sure I wanted it at $90+tax, but I was afraid it'd be hard, or expensive, or both, to track down if I missed out on it. I'm hoping for a sale within the next 2 weeks to re-buy and return. :P

August 8th:
-Candy Toy Kamen Rider Faiz Lockseed [MISB, from a seller at Otakuthon]

From the same seller who has the table with all the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider stuff at TFCon each year; he had a table at Otakuthon. We chatted for a bit, and I bought a Candy Toy Lockseed from him.

August 18th:
-Figma 249 - Kiryuin Satsuki with GSC exclusive Bakuzan Gako & Bakuzan Kouryu [MISB, from GoodSmile Online Shop]

Will look great next to my Ryuko... if I ever end up opening her.
Hopefully we might get both Ryuko and Satsuki in non-Kamui forms. And maybe with the switched Kamuis.

August 30th:
-Hoshi no Kirby Tsumu Tsumu [MISB, from fellow member pulsedragon20]

Fellow member pulsedragon20 (another fellow Montrealer) was making an order for Kirby stuff from Amiami, and asked if I wanted one of these; so I hitched in on the shipping costs.
It's a skill-stacking game; you need to stack the Kirbys into the poses they have on the back of the box. It's cute, and incredibly difficult.

August 31st:
-DX Shift Fruits & Drive Lockseed set [MOSC, from an Amazon.ca reseller]

Splitting this set with a friend; he's collecting Drive Shift Cars, I'm collecting Gaim Lockseeds.
Win-win situation; the only loser is my wallet...

Swung by Heroes Comics in London yesterday & picked up this Vinyl Idols "Seinfeld" Kramer figure:



I heard a rumour that they are planning on making Jerry, Elaine & George as well. I'd really like to pick up a George figure too. If anyone has a pic of what it's going to look like please pm me as I looked around online & couldn't find one. Thanx in advance.

The Mark 43 looks real solid. It's like a nicer looking Mark 42. Wasn't a must buy for me, but compliments the Mark 45 very well. It is very nice though.

The Mark 45 on the other hand...... is absolutely gorgeous. It looks so smooth and rounded, and technologically more advanced than the other armours. Something about the sculpt and colours, and shade of metallic red really makes this toy pop. Almost want to track down the Hot Toys version, I love this design so much.

Technically speaking, the toys themselves have new and improved joints like in the shoulders and are a notch up from the Figuarts Mark 6 or War Machine or other Figuarts. It's like the Kamen Rider Kabuto Renewal Figuarts is a leap in advancement from Figuarts before it, these guys are a notch or two above that.

The Figma Mark 7 has a beautiful vibrant candy red paint job. It's bigger than other Figmas I have. And it doesn't tower over the other Figuarts IM, but looks way bigger than them. Compared to the Figuarts, it feels looser and limited. Kinda floppy in the torso. It's articulation is better than the average Figma though.

Anyways, for the accessories, it sorta doesn't come with a lot of actual stuff. It's just swap out parts for the air brake flaps, wrist mounted missile, shoulder missiles, etc. I imagine the Hot Toys Iron Men would either have the same swap out parts or have moving panels. Compared to the Figuarts, it does come with a crapton of stuff. Though this is the GS Online shop ver, so it is unfair comparison.

I'm really digging these Iron Men and Iron Man in general. Sorry I nerded out all this post.

tl;dr Figuarts Iron Men are really really nice. Big improvement over the Mark 6 or War Machine. Figma Mark 6 is bigger, but feels relatively cheaper the Figuarts counterpart. It is a older figure though. But comes with a bunch of stuff that sorta makes it worth it. All of them are beautifully painted.

Surprisingly, these are FILLED with sounds with ALL the Riders. Very impressed at how much they were able to cram into these.

September 3rd:

Like most people, been waiting forever for this game to be release. My actual "order date" says: 13/June/2013. :/
Then again, I have actually yet to play Ground Zeroes as well (will probably start that soon).

Uber-haul. Finally got the Drivers that I wanted.
Got the Genesis Driver + 4x Energy Lockseeds in one lot for a GREAT price, considering how much that Driver and those Energy Lockeeds go for in the aftermarket.
The Sengoku Driver came in a lot with all the other Lockseeds (save for the Sid Lockseed), and I won that one at some 3700yen. I seriously think that might be my deal of the year!

Man, I really went crazy on the KR Gaim Lockseeds. I have a few more coming in soon, but I need to take a break.

^ All those model kits above has reminded me of all the ones I've bought and still haven't touched.

After getting into a lot of the role play stuff in KR Wizard, I realized these don't really do that much or are that entertaining, and gets so expensive. I need to stop. I'm really glad I resisted and didn't get anything from Gaim, even though they do look like they are worth it.

I've never played or plan to play any of the Metal Gear Solid games, but have always appreciated the series from afar. I look forward to watching gameplay of it.
