So this is still an issue?
I'm thinking back to call centre metrics, which look at "call resolution" rates - i.e. if/how many times a customer calls back about the same issue. By cancelling the order, the agent might be thinking you won't be calling back about that order, or at the very least, it won't count against them since the order is technically "completed".

They're probably taught that cancellations are the speediest resolution possible because it resets things to square one, refunds any charges the customer has incurred, and in their mind since most people are buying goods that are likely readily available, creates the simplest path to "fixing" the order by only having to place a new one.
"but this order contains toy robots that you're actively not selling at this price or don't have available anymore" likely doesn't enter their minds.
It's stupid and shortsighted in this instance but Walmart's thing is always about brushing off the minimal concern for the maximum gain (like eating a certain amount of shoplifting losses because they've worked out that, pulling a number out of thin air here, 95% of people honestly using self-checkouts with 5% dishonest assholes scamming the system costs them less than the hourly wages of enough cashiers to cover 8-10 additional checkout lanes every day to avoid the scamming.)

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
It's irritating to me is that I used PayPal as my payment method and the immediately took the money. I mean I guess I should have expected that because of the way they do that weird temporary charge if you use a Mastercard or a Visa debit. But when they do that it goes back onto your card they're just making sure you have the available funds
I don't mind but when they say you'll pay when the item is shipped and now I've paid possibly months in advance it's irritating

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion
Half my order of those weird pricing Deluxes just got shipped.
It includes Deadend, Peacemaker & Skullgrin.
WM sucks to take care of orders when there's billing problem, but so far, they are good at fulfilling their orders even when it's a possible price error.

You had evolution deluxes in there too? I have pointblank and skullgrin, then scrapheap and needlenose. Be nice if they shipped the legacy soon.

Yup. 1 order, 6 items, all different sku (3 from Legacy and 3 from Evolution) and WM shipped the 3 that are due for January.
In my experience with preorder with WM, they don't wait for the whole order to be complete like small toy shops. They will ship 1 at the time if the release day are all different.

Can confirm the sale price is gone now, unfortunately
However, Legacy Crankcase is back in stock, "sold & shipped by WalMart", $35.48 (MSRP?)
199 copies, as per stocktrack.ca (bought one because I'm a sucker re FOMO)
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/transfo.../6000205267881
Also, T-Wrecks is back in stock, after being OOS for a while, $74.97 MSRP
only 5 copies, as per stocktrack.ca
