I placed an in-store pickup order for the worlds collide pack and it got cancelled instantly...

man, is In-Store Pick-Up "not actually sending items to the store"

...but in fact "only allowing the ISPU if the item is in the store to begin with"?

ie. Hurontario TRU for example, let's say they didn't have any Worlds Collide in-house
Someone on website selects ISPU to Hurontario
Dude checks inventory "lol, we don't have that -> cancelled"

I thought that's what it always was. Because I seem to remember the pickup button on item pages being grayed out unless you selected a store that had stock. Maybe I'm wrong.



Wouldn't surprise me if the site/system is broken and not stopping people from ordering items from locations that don't have any.

I went through this with Runamuck. Kept ordering cause website said it was in store when it wasn't. They kept canceling cause inventory was inaccurate.

Well, Centennial Pkwy had five or six when I stopped by Friday evening, and I can't imagine them all going in a day.
I bought one myself at Upper Wentworth on Thursday, and I left two. Weird that both would go "out of stock" just one day after I saw them on the shelf. Maybe the site is broken and stopping orders from places that do have stock.

Lucky you! On the TRU website, there is nothing explicitly stating this set is out of stock at my local locations, and while I am logged into my account and logged into my preferred store location, I can go through the complete ordering process, only to have it cancelled a few minutes later.

The only way I can tell if the item is actually in or out of stock (theoretically) is to search for more store locations and re-search for my currently logged in location while I am on the item's page. Only then does it even indicate that the item is out of stock. But it will still let me attempt an order for in-store pickup.

The TRU website is such garbage.

Mine came from a warehouse. Shipped to mb store I picked.
There were none in store.
As I checked.
