I wrote an email to Hasbro Canada, mostly to voice my displeasure at the QC, and how it will definitely make me more hesitant in the future when it comes to purchases. I'll see what, if anything, comes out of that.

Just opened mine. Right arm broken before he even got out of the packaging. Taking back for try number 2. Gonna open that one right in the store. Kinda disappointing, seeing as how he was a birthday present. :/

one good thing that came out of me just accepting its not a toy i will ever play with is i actually put the stickers on him (autobot symbol and arm decals)
turns out i really like the way it looks over stock.

I guess he's gonna stay as a car forever now. I mean, he's unbroken [knock knock] but who knows what the future holds? Man, do I hate having Transformers I'm scared to play with. Maybe I should just sell him while he's not broken and spare myself the dread...

Agreed. #2 wasn't broken, and I can't get the car mode to line up properly to save my life, so he's staying in robot mode for the foreseeable future. And the stickers do make his arms look much nicer.

Tried to screw the arm back in, but there wasn't enough of the red shoulder plastic left to be able to really do so.
Ended up just using some good old krazy glue to fuse the arm into place. I'll never be able to move the arm without snapping it off first, but at least I have a complete mostly pose-able figure. And even with the heartache and difficulties I have to say that he still looks damn good on my shelf!
