Maybe you could try emailing HLJ. Explain the situation and see if they'll hold your stuff for a little longer. Worse they can do is say no.
If this work stoppage happens, it's probably likely that I'm going to have a couple of hundred dollars worth of stuff floating in limbo somewhere.

My mailman said next two weeks someone else is going to be delivering my mail so maybe mail will continue. I didn't ask if it was strike related.

They had to strike when im waiting for gov papers on my university and fees. wew lads. At least im not ordering any big packages, but CP screws those up anyways by taking their fine time processing it and turning a 1 week parcel to a 2-3 week wait due to """customs"""".

Re: Canada Post strike/lockout may be coming July 2...
It sucks that before reading the thread that I decided to ship out my AE and HLJ stock, as well as have some ebay stuff coming right now. But I can wait, not a big deal.
I'm more worried about stuff shipped without a tracking number. What if some worker decides to take advantage of the situation? Stuff gets lost from time to time, and what better time then a lockout?

^ True!
I think I will have a couple of parcels in Post's holding cell
Here's hoping they don't get lost, and their contracts get sorted out quickly.

Shipped my latest HLJ box with FedEx. They called me this morning saying the fee will be $30.77. For a box that size, I'd wager $25-30 would be what you'd get charged with Canada Post.
