A lot of big companies are laying people off, and blaming the economy, because they can. It's just another money grab.

Most stores I see, including GameStops, are trying as hard as they can to hire retail staff.

I had to call and ask as my preorder of Inferno/Megatron wasn't moving.

They did not receive enough Inferno in their initial shipment to cover all of the pre-orders. I was assured there is another shipment due imminently to cover the remaining preorders.

Yeah I know that my local Gamestops are swapping staff to meet demand/shortages. They don't have enough people so staff are working in multiple stores to cover in the hopes they'll have more staff soon.

If I were you, I'd wait until Boxing Day for Metroplex. Black Friday sales on Amazon had him for $200 CAD (got mine for that price on .com shipped to Canada). You'll save a bunch if you wait.

Black Friday had some good deals going on, yeah. They'll likely get rehashed for Boxing Day too since that's been the trend for a while now.
