I don't really think they are. There were three in one of my local stores, and two in another.

I think they order based on the size of their store as well.

For my local store, the transformers section is kind of tiny compared to the others...

I'm sure somebody who works at GS could illuminate me, but I don't think the ordering is done at the store level. They just receive whatever they get shipped.

I will say there certainly seems to be a difference between what smaller stores like Chilliwack and Abbotsford generally receive compared to the bigger stores in Coquitlam and Vancouver (Metrotown). We probably get the dregs or fewer boxes.

I'm pretty sure their distribution is mostly based on pre-orders.

I'm friends with the manager at my local Gamestop and that's pretty much it. They get whatever is sent to them. Lord know they're sick of all the McFarlane DC stuff that just peg warms here.

Pre-ordering stuff is your best bet of getting it. And it shows that there is interest in that type of product at your local store. So that increases the likelihood of other items being on the shelf later. That's basically how it was explained to me.

Re: GameStop.ca (formerly EB Games) Transformers Sightings and discussion

Was just googling in-box images of current/upcoming stuff because I plug it into a spreadsheet I use to track my wants (and share with people who might want to help me search but maybe aren't TF fans who know exactly what they're looking for) and came across the image of Legacy Dead-End from Gamestop's site.

I know that this is probably an error in the code or whatever Google uses to pull product information from store websites, but check out that price:

What a steal of a deal! lol.

Sadly when you click through to the Dead-End page on the actual Gamestop website there is no price or product information at all.

I just got charged for Legacy Crankcase!

I don't know why EVERYTHING ELSE in that wave I pre-ordered still says January, but Crankcase is on his way =D
