Animated : season 1, season 2... ???
Ok, what's the reasoning for Hasbro when they claim the current episodes are from season 2 and that we will get 4 seasons? If the series had been stopped for a few months, then maybe, but since it's not the case, if you ask me, we're still in season 1 and there will be only 2 seasons... 1+2=1, 3+4=2.

Cartoon Network and Hasbro say there are two seasons, so there are. Season one ended with Megatron Rising, Part Two, season two ends in three weekends. I expect season three to start in the fall or January 2009 with season four right after.

Re: Animated : season 1, season 2... ???
I know there are, but the reasoning is just stupid. It's really one long continuous story. That'd be like splitting a season of 24 in 2 and calling each half-season a season but still running the show weekly without any interruption...

Re: Animated : season 1, season 2... ???
no, you're right in that it isn't really split up like we normally expect from the concept of a season.
Its entirely possible that they were originally designed to be aired with a big break in between (season one does end at the end of a pretty significant story arc), but somewhere along the way either YTV decided to just air the episodes they had or hasbro or the cartoon network decided "you know what, just air them, we'll make some more". So yeah, really they are like a single season so far, but since the people who've made them called them season 1+2, and that's how they're probably going to be released and described, might as well just deal with it.
Of course, TFA isnt the only series with a screwy way of describing "seasons" anymore. BSG season 2.5 isn't really much better.

I agree with you. It just doesn't make sense to call this current batch "season 2" when in my mind it is still a continuation of "season 1". You need a break between seasons to consider it a new season in my book. Wow... I don't think I've ever used the word season that much.

Not like he honestly has to worry about DVD sales, as he'll just find a stolen and scalped copy months in advance for double the retail value. lol

Don't be one of those "Hasbro says so, so that's the way it is" guys, Gord.
