Re: A cool Value Village find ! ^_^

I suspect one of the employees has to be a collector or an employee takes them for a family member/friend whom is a collector.

While I have seen a few, I've never seen anything worth buying. I've seen 07 Movie Robot Replica's Prime & Megatron. Saw Cyber Slammers Ratchet & Jazz. A few Cyertron Minicons and I've even see a Diaclone Bluestreak but he was missing the Roof, Hatch Glass and Doors + was Beat! And tones of Happy Meal Figures!

I personally wont buy anything I wont collect so I leave it for others. But a month ago when I was on holidays I went to the Value Village here in Kitchener every morning for 9am when they opened. I even went 2 or 3 times during the evening around 7pm. And nothing!

It's total hit and miss guys, I check out the one on Ottawa St fairly often and I've found TONS of stuff there over the years. Including Lord Zarak and Japanese Breastmaster Jarugar.

@Jefro, they don't put stuff out overnight either, they stock their shelves mid-morning usually, it's best to hit them up between 10-2.

Talize on the other hand - Sucks. I don't even know why I bother checking there.

Cheers!

I don't know how all the stores work, but for the VV i work at, we are stocking between 9-4 everyday but the weekend.

I've found some decent TF's since i've worked there, most notably a G1 Omega Supreme still in the styrofoam last year

Re: A cool Value Village find ! ^_^

Our VV here is pretty decent, although I don't get to check it too often. I've only found two G1s, and most of the time the prices on broken tfs are a bit high in my opinion...

Right now they're in their "cut back on toys until Christmas" mode, where the toy section gets slashed in size in favour of an expanded Halloween section. I figure they just stock up on toys for the next month, and then they toss out an expanded toy section just before Christmas. At least, that's my theory.

how does VV price the Transformers ?
Some members here really get a good deal for a bulk including big size figures but my VV seems to judge the volume and size.

Pricing can be all over the place. Sometimes a VV will have an employee that thinks they know what is good, sometimes they clearly have no clue.

One time I was looking at a bunch of newer loose Star Wars figures priced $4 each(Jar Jar, Obi-Wan, so on). While I was thinking about how overpriced they were I found a bag of vintage 80's Kenner Star Wars figures for a $1.99 on the same wall.
