Re: What era were you most sad to see end?

Animated- I still want that Marauder Megatron and Hot Shot.

I was sad to see Cybertron end it's run but atleast it finished what it wanted to, Beast Wars technically continutes with BM so no real complaints there.

I voted for Animated since it just kinda got cut off with so many story elements left unresolved.

All the others basically had an ending, whether we like it or not is subjective. I don't count G2 since it didn't really have a true series of it's own

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?

I grew up with G1 but that series kind of tapered off after a bunch of re-runs and even after that the toy line continued years after. But with the Animated show it just continued to get better and better so after it was announced that it was being canceled I knew a great era was ending.

I voted Animated over Beast Wars. Personally I liked Beast Wars more and I have fond memories of seeing it on tv, but at least it came to an end. Animated just feels so cut off to me.

Re: What era were you most sad to see end?

G1.

In the spring of 1991 there were very few Transformers toys in stores, the cartoon hadn't aired in years, and the final nail in the coffin was when Marvel announced the Transformers comic series would end with issue 80. (I think it was the letters page of issue 77)

This was truly the darkest time in TF history because there was absloutely no reason to think Transformers would ever return. There was no internet yet, no e-mail, no fan clubs or magazines.
As far as I knew at the time I was just a 16 year-old who never grew up and still liked the toys he played with at age 9 or 10.

Voted for animated, there was soooo much potential for that show and the last season was fantastic. I think hasbro messed up by not continuing the series in some form at least almanacs be damned i want more.

I loved RID and was sad to see the toys end. The Show was ok and wrapped up nicely, but it was not recvied very well at all. It was too bad that Armada came after IMO.

I don't hate RiD, but it's just the post-dub process and well watching it as Car Robots a year before made it harder to enjoy........ let alone in the wake of Beast Wars/Machines.
