Re: What's the appeal in the Activators?
I saw these today...they were very hard to pass up. If/when there's a sale I'll probably buy all 3, but I don't have the extra funds right now unfortunately. BH and SS looked so good...

Re: What's the appeal in the Activators?
Just came across these guys for the first time today, and while I despise the animated line with a passion, I couldn't help but want to buy them. Very hard to put down, I must say. The cartoon accuracy and detail was excellent for such a simple figure. The only reason I didn't buy any was due to the fact that they were from the TFA line. I have a feeling if they continue on and have TF2 movie versions, I will have to snap them up asap.

Re: What's the appeal in the Activators?
I saw a couple of StarScream one's at ThunderBay yesterday and snapped one right up for my 4 1/2 son, he loves the thing, now he can play Transformers and not have to keep coming down stairs every few minutes asking me to transform his toys, (Kinda miss that already).
And I have to admit that I really like them too.
I think it is another line that I myself will collect aswell. The detail is amazing and I love the quic transforming, this is what I dreamt of when i was a child.

Does anyone have Bulkhead? I'm on the fence about him. I love my Bumblebee and Starscream though, even more than their larger counterparts.

I have a Bulkhead. He's not terrible, but he's still the worst of the first wave Activators. His vehicle mode is full of gaps and has his hands and feet blatantly exposed in the back, his robot mode is not especially poseable and is extremely back-heavy, and the gearing that enables his auto-transformation is prone to jumping teeth. Mine actually had one of his shoulder-gears pop off after too many transformations and I haven't been able to get it back on.
He's still decent enough as a low-cost version of Bulkhead for people who don't want to pay Voyager or Leader-class prices for the "proper" toys, but he's got quite a few problems.

Got Activators Bumblebee, he's very cool for a $10 figure. I can't stop fiddling around with it, and even my younger brother says it's his favorite figure out of the 50 something figures I have (small collection, I know)

Yeah I'm not too impressed with Activators Bulkhead...I don't like the huge gap in robot mode. I also bought Starscream, not sure if I should bother opening it now actually. I'll keep Bulkhead anyways since I'm not interested in buying the other sizes though.
EDIT: Holy crap, opened Starscream. So much better than Bulkhead! I love how posable he is for his size.
