Are you serious? That's absolutely ridiculous. He's the only character on that show with a shred of intelligence or rationality. Not that the show has really been worth watching in ages since it's long been more a pop culture reference/ridiculous scenario clipshow than something with an actual plot, but still. I liked Brian.
I'll miss the love/hate dynamic between Brian and Stewie, too.
Whatever, I watch American Dad more these days anyway.
