yes, a reprap/mendal could easily pop out a copy, though u still need a 3d model of it anywyas. cant vouch for individual plastic quality though. don't have mine yet boo. but i think safe to say shapeways industrial equpment will have better resolution and such,
the reprap system is getting there, but still a year or so off without a significant breakthrough.
