Same thing happened to me. Ordered a studio series on sale with some other things. Went to pick them up but he "couldn't find" the figure. I had good interactions with him before at cons and ordering from the store so I said I'd take the other figures in the order and wait for an email. Month goes by didn't hear anything so I set up a ticket. Didn't hear anything for a bit so I emailed, he apologized and said he'd still not found the figure and would asap, it I could take store credit. I wanted the figure at the time so I said I'd wait. Never heard from him. Got busy in life forgot about it and 2years later don't have the figure and it's sold out in the site.
I'd still say overall I had good interactions and would have ordered again but from everything in this thread I probably won't.
