Drill a couple of holes in the back fill with hot glue.
or cut out a section and fill with platdoh and re glue section on

What are the paint apps in that area? do they break it up?
If your worried about it , just add some flat profiled to the outside edge shaped styrene, say 5-6 mm in from the edge in both areas,...

^ agreed white primer is the worst, I prefer grey , or Krylon plastic paint "beige".
If you use white, the only way I have gotten it to somewhat work is many VERY light coats, and even then it...
