Finally opened up my Saint Seiya Myth Cloth EX Griffin Minos.

He looks great next to the previously released fellow Underword Judge Wyvern Rhadamanthys:

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Very nice.

I've been actually tempted by the Original Effect 1/6 figures. They have a really interesting style, especially with the headscupts.

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

It'd actually be Super Street Fighter 4 he's playing (it's how the cabinet is branded; screenshots and everything come with the kit).

And I believe the word you're looking for is "Shoryuken". :D

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Need to clear my desk to re-setup s makeshift lightbooth sometime; sadly I only have one hobby desk, and it's used for picture-taking, model-building and electronics, so I have to cycle things around...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Redid my top shelf of "big-ass-swords" in my Detolfs, especially since GaoGaiGar's Dividing Driver (despite being actually a large bladed accessory) is not a sword. :)

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

The transformation device used by the Akibarangers... just happens to be a doll of an anime girl who turns into a gun. :)

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Yeah, I know they look great together, that's the problem. I'm trying to save money here! :D

But yes, Chou Akibared's costume design is pretty weird, even by crazy otaku standards. Though...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Akibaranger's Z-Cune Aoi-chan?
Going off on an odd tangent here: I'm normally a HUGE anime fan, but I really don't care much for the whole Z-Cune Aoi-chan part of Akibaranger...
Sorta back on...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Overall, I'd say that unless you're a HUGE fan of the mech itself, probably not.

My biggest gripe is their use of this weird semi-soft, almost PVC-ish plastic for their figures. Everything feels...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

So I'm bored at the office and don't feel like doing actual work. Did some digging through my Photobucket folders and found some toy pics that I haven't posted here.

Amen.
I'd mainly be getting them for nostalgia purposes, and I'm REALLY trying to shy away from buying new toys solely for that purpose.

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Well, the design of AGE mechs are relatively simple anyways, so that might be the problem to you.

I personally don't buy 1/144 HGs, but I do know that the 00 and AGE one are very well done, from a...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

Wow, those Wing Gundams are OLD kits!
They're pretty pitiful by today's standards; I'd recommend you building something from the 00 Gundam or Gundam AGE series if you haven't already. :)
But it's...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

I'd say still the same things.

Spray cans should be used in well-ventilated areas, and mist over light coats to build up the primer and color.
For hand-painting, masking helps a bit, but nothing...

Re: Post your non TF Toy photos

The basic tip is to practice practice and practice.

Some people recommend getting a cheaper kit (like 1/144 HGs) to practice, but I don't quite believe in that, mainly because you have less...
