Re: Fifth Custom: TFA Wasp

The antenna does not affect the transformation at all. There's a lot of empty space in BB (mostly between his audio receptors). :)

I used Hawk Turquoise right out of the pot for the green...

Re: Fifth Custom: TFA Wasp

Sorry, I don't do commissions. One of the more experienced customizers on the board may be happy to do something for you. I'd be flattered if they used mine as a guide/pattern.

Re: Fifth Custom: TFA Wasp

I was trying to follow the blue and green patterning on Wasp's cybertron mode from Autoboot Camp. The difference in vehicle shapes made that a challenge, but I was pretty close.

Re: Third Custom: TFA Trailbreaker

What I love about this transformation is that it's so similar to the original G1 toy. The arms and legs do roughly the same thing, and the cab back becomes the rear. The head is even in the same spot...

Re: Fourth Custom: TFA Gears

It wasn't the Krylon coming off, it's the citadel colour not bonding with the Krylon.

Krylon...that's like a frozen Cylon, isn't it? :P

Fifth Custom: TFA Wasp

This is the last of my backlog of customs. The final piece I've been working on...TFA Wasp! I learned a lot of lessons the hard way with the others, so most of it paid off with this piece.

He's...

Fourth Custom: TFA Gears

Hi folks,

As promised, here's the next custom I did. It's a TFA version of Gears using TFA Soundwave as a base. He has tires from Sentinel Prime and a head from TFA Snarl.

I'm not totally...

Re: Movie Ironhide

Neat! Looks good to me. I've always been concerned about Movie IH's weak little wrists though. How's he supposed to punch 'Cons with those little mits? :)

Re: Third Custom: TFA Trailbreaker

Pick up a Sentinel Prime too. You'll need his head and some bits from him to make the FF and the laser arm. Look closely and see if you can guess which ones. :)

Re: Second Custom: Ironhide

As I said in the original post, Caitlindevi over at tfw2005 did the head. Without it, it's just a headless, red ratchet. :) If you ask nice, she may cast you a copy.

Re: DAK's Customizing Discussion Thread

Thanks for the input! I just broke down and took a razor saw to it. the plastic is mostly intact and I may need to replace the pin, but Insanity Glue wil probably make a solid enough join.

I've...

Okay...got another one for ya.

Re: DAK's Customizing Discussion Thread

I just picked up a universe Hound. The fact that it's a non-brand-name jeep/made up ATV alt mode and the robot mode's really close resemblance to the G1 cartoon images makes me think that he'd...

Re: Transformers Universe Toys - Canadian Release Status Checklist

Is it just me or does Hound almost look like an animated toy? A few touchups to simplify the colour scheme and I think he'd fit right in.
