Some news out of the blue today as a listing on site sponsor Robot Kingdom has just surfaced for a Platinum Edition reissue of the Planet-Eater himself, Unicron! Not likely. It's prbalby just another redeco or repack of the same Unicron for The Movie's 30th anniversary.

But this one likely be priced at least $249 CAD. Becasue Hasbro.

As I said when I saw this on FB. Such a waste since he was $42 on sale at TRU and it won't be much different from the 25th Ann. release I'd bet. Just another attempt for Hasbro to cash grab. Guess they have to for all the free stuff and various compensations they have had to give out for all the Victorions that have been built incorrectly

If this is true, it's just another move by Hasbro to use the Platinum line to sell redecos at ridiculous markups. I almost feel bad for retailers who get duped into ordering this on the belief it will be highly sought after and desired.

That all said, I'm selling a 25th anniversary version for $90 Canadian in my sales thread (link in my signature) if anyone wants a more reasonable alternative.
