We have received the pricing of the Transformers convention exclusive figures being sold at Fan Expo Canada 2016. The figures were previously offered at SDCC earlier this year. Prices are before tax. All product is being sold by Toys R Us at the Hasbro Store at Fan Expo.

Wow, they actually are offering FM at a small mark up compared to retail!!!

Someone is going to be in trouble for that, we can't have an exclusive selling for less than 10% mark up. (Compared to regular TRU pricing that is). ;)

I'm probably gonna get flak for this, but you're better off just ordering the Takara version, even with shipping (just choose the cheapest option).

The Joe/TF set is $99.99 CAD and it was the same price @ SDCC in USD. Saves you ~25%...

The master sword from the Japanese tru special exclusive is going for over $70 usd on ebay already so this is a good deal better.

I have the takara fort max from anime export coming hopefully next month (Damn potential strike) and I paid $163 usd before shipping for it and he comes with better paint apps and the sword too. It's about 210 Canadian plus shipping and I'm splitting that with a buddy who also ordered one too.

I'll be at FanExpo on the Friday and Saturday. First time since moving away from Toronto 5 years ago. I really want a Fort Max but $250 is kind of a bitter pill to swallow. I'm still thinking I'll go for it. I would get a Takara one but even if I was lucky enough to get a decent preorder, I'd probably get dinged on duty fees once it arrived, and that just feels like getting robbed.

TRU sale price: $172.47 + ONT HST = $194.89
Fanexpo Price: $249.99 + ONT HST = $282.49

Difference: $87.60 for the sword.

You also have to factor in FanExpo admission cost, and that the Takara Legends version will have more paint apps on it.

And I heard that sword is pretty crappy. Sale hasbro version and perfect effect sword for me. Cheaper overall and much better sword.

I paid $50 for the PE Sword at TFCon and it is great. I can't wait to get my Fort Max and put it in his hand. So lame he doesn't come with a gun like Metroplex did.

Yes, it is lame. If you want guns get the Japanese version where you can use the cannons on the legs as a gun and a shoulder cannon. Yes, it is still not right but at least TakaraTomy is trying.

Saturday I bought a ticket to go see Stan Lee and Mark Hamill photo ops. Latest I'm out of there is 2pm. I'm willing to let someone else take over my pass for say $40 at that point.

Deadpool is gone. Could not bring myself to pull the trigger on SDCC FortMax. Tablet Soundwaves are selling. Didn't see the TF/GIJoe set at all but wasn't really looking for it. Plenty of TR Transformers.

It's the SDCC Fort Max. Not a retail Fort Max with an extra sword. There was the option to buy it in the brown hasbro box unboxed.

I went today it was pretty well organized, from what I experienced, I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get in even though I didn`t have advanced entry. For checkout I only waited another 5 min. Mind you I was there first thing in the morning. I checked the booth at the end of today's show and they pretty much have everything in good qty`s (guessing 40+ pieces each, possibly a lot more in the back) minus sold out Deadpool, MCU Scarlet Witch and Soundwave Tablets.

From what I saw the box looks like last years SDCC CW Devestator, it has FM face on the box, then you slide it open and there is FortMax holding his sword in a window display.

^^ Glad you found it organized. I found it quite the opposite but I didn't go for the Hasbro stuff/store. Had to go there though as they told a friend of mine the GI Joe/Transformers figures actually transformed and when I told him they didn't we had to go back and explain the situation so he could get his money back. Told him next time ask me not them lol

I bought a Fortress Maximus on Friday morning. Had to carry it around all day. Not exactly a shining moment, but I just wanted to get things taken care of as soon as possible. Besides that, we grew close during our time together.

There was a photographer there who wanted to take a picture of me holding the box. I was directed to walk by him in a certain spot a couple of times. It was unique. Be prepared to see pictures of a ridiculously cool dude holding a gigantic Transformers box being used as promotional material.
