I'm at it agaaaaaaain :p

hey all, been a while since I posted in this sub-forum, but I felt this was worth the occassion. After fiddling with the Titan Metroplex, and running through a few concepts of what I could do with him, it hit me.


GRANDUS! OF COURSE!


There needs to be a lot of bulking up and some more scratch-building besides the claws, but this should be fun :)

What are you planning to do with the electronics inside? Are they the Canadian or US version?

If you're getting rid of them, I'm sure I could find them a home. Would be really nice to have a spare when I finally am able to make my MP3 mod. Just in case I botch some soldering.

UPDATE: OCT 20, 2013

Got a bit of work done on Grandus; started on the arm treads for battle-carrier mode, and started the railgun

Loving what I'm seeing so far, Mal! He's going to turn out great! I can't wait to see what you do for the aircraft carrier aspect of him. :D

WHOA! Been a while since I've updated this thread O.O

So, what all has happened since the last images.....well...

- Added numerous weapons systems to his body, including shoulder cannons, Tri-cannons on his boots, and the FU Cannon 2000 (patent pending :p) with control seat for Spinner

- Started bulking up his torso and waist, adding belt pieces and giving him a larger gut (though noticed that I need to bulk it out a bit more forward)

- added details to the boot to make them resemble the Return of Convoy artwork

- shaved the chin so his head can rotate a bit more


As said, I need to fix the bulk....thinking either continuing the pattern I have (stepped ridges), but extending them forward, OR reversing the step so the largest layer is on the bottom rather than the top. Thoughts? :p

Any chance of some more clearer pictures. Some closer images of the different things would be awesome - I wish to marvel in your good work
