They all transform into something...just varies on how good it does at that :P

Honestly I can think up a better transformation that could turn him into his "pod" shape even better but what can you do?? The track record for movie line beastformers ain't the greatest...

According to what I saw on the DVD, he was meant to first turn into some kind of mechanical fish before turning into a jaguar. That's kinda what it looks like, except they decided to call it entry mode.
