I saw this documentary tonight and I have to say, I really liked it. One of the things that bothered me about Sheiks recent shoot interviews was I felt like he was being exploited, like a side show. This documentary doesn't exploit the Iron Sheik as I thought it would. Its just truth.
It has his kids, wife and his close friends and wrestler friends comment on his life and his "demons". The history behind the Sheik in Iran and his early wrestling career was very interesting. I've heard it before in other documentaries but it was done better here. I really enjoyed it.
He had a tough life and honestly he was just going to be another wresting statistic. I'm not going to give too much details, but lets just say, the Sheik is thriving and motivated now, thanks to his family and his manager/friend. Even to this day, NOBODY gets more heat than the Iron Sheik.
